Client Overview: Hotel Baltschu Kempinski Moscow, a luxury hotel, approached me for video production. They’re looking to engage with their audience memorably. With a young actor available, they aimed to leverage his talent to create a hotel video showcasing the charm of the festive season.
Creative Approach: Given the availability of a 12-year-old actor and the filming period in December, I saw an opportunity to infuse the video with a Christmas theme to resonate with the audience. Drawing inspiration from two iconic Hollywood movies, "Home Alone" and "The Holiday," which feature Christmas and hotel settings, I crafted a narrative to capture the season's spirit while highlighting the hotel's amenities and atmosphere.
Hotel Video Production:
Creative Brief and Concept: Upon receiving the client's brief, outlining their wish for an entertaining video, I brainstormed ideas that would align with their goals. Leveraging the young actor's presence, I envisioned a story that would evoke excitement, reminiscent of classic holiday films.
Storyboarding and Shotlist: I drafted a shot list to bring my vision to life, selecting scenes and angles to showcase the hotel's areas while maintaining a narrative. This involved mapping out the boy's journey through the hotel, capturing his wonder and delight as he explores each space.
Client Collaboration: I collaborated closely with the hotel's marketing director, sharing my treatment and receiving feedback to ensure the video would resonate with their target audience and represent their brand image.
Production: With the creative direction finalised, we moved into the production stage, dedicating approximately one day to filming. Our team worked efficiently to capture each scene, coordinating with the young actor to convey the desired emotions and reactions.
Outcome: The final video blended elements from "Home Alone" and "The Holiday," delivering a heartwarming and engaging narrative that captivated viewers. Released on social media platforms and screened on internal displays within the hotel, the video garnered widespread attention and appreciation.
Key Results:
Audience Engagement: The video resonated with the target audience, eliciting positive reactions and sparking conversations online.
Brand Visibility: By leveraging a creative approach inspired by popular films, Hotel Baltschu Kempinski Moscow distinguished itself from competitors and strengthened its brand presence.
Social Sharing: The video was shared across social media platforms, amplifying the hotel's reach and driving traffic to its website and booking channels.
Conclusion: Through collaboration and storytelling, our video production team successfully brought Hotel Baltschu Kempinski Moscow's vision to life, delivering an impactful video that exceeded expectations. By the power of narrative, I helped the hotel connect with its audience.
