Why the UK needs a specialist
The light is the schedule — and the buildings have rules.
British light is soft, changeable and often better than its reputation — but it has to be scheduled, not hoped for. Long June evenings give golden hours that last; winter offers low, sculptural light in a short window. We plan UK shoots around the property’s best hours and keep interiors for the flat spells, so no part of the day is wasted.
The buildings bring their own discipline. Heritage interiors and listed buildings call for low-impact setups — available light first, small footprints, nothing taped to a Georgian wall. And London’s airspace is among the most restricted anywhere, so aerials are arranged property by property or replaced with high-vantage and river-level angles that carry the same scale. Planned properly, the UK films beautifully in any season.
Usage & licensing — clear and simple. Transparent, itemised licences to match what you need: website, organic social, paid social, OTA & partners, in-property screens or global brand use. Multi-property groups and cross-border campaigns bundle efficiently.
The in-room TV play. Looped on the in-room screen, guests meet your property the moment they walk in — the spa, the dining, the experiences they haven’t booked yet. It earns its place quietly, every day, at no ongoing cost.
FAQ — hotel video in the UK
Before you enquireWhat does a hotel film in the UK cost?
Every project is quoted to scope — the property, the number of films and the shoot days all shape it. Send a short brief and we’ll come back with a clear, fixed quote.
Can you fly a drone in London?
London sits under some of the most restricted airspace in the world, so aerials are planned property by property — licensed and insured where permissions allow, or replaced with high-vantage and river-level alternatives that read just as cinematic.
Do you work to hotel brand guidelines?
Yes — we’ve made films to the guidelines of major groups including IHG, Kempinski, Marriott and Accor brands, and plan every setup so the film passes brand review without losing its feel.
How long does production take?
Most UK shoots are one to two days on the ground. First cut: 10–14 days after shoot. Final delivery: usually 3–6 weeks after shoot.
Can one shoot serve properties in the UK and Europe?
Yes — we regularly design capture plans that serve a flagship property alongside sister hotels, and we film across Europe and worldwide from our London base.
