InterContinental Edinburgh The George

The brief
A Georgian landmark on George Street — a film about the hotel, told through its city.
The George sits in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, a listed Georgian address a few minutes’ walk from almost everything a guest comes to Edinburgh for. The brief was a hotel and city film for the website and social — the property and its position, carried by real moments rather than a room-by-room tour — made to the InterContinental brand guidelines.
The approach
We built the film around one couple’s Edinburgh: the hotel as the anchor, the city as the reason. Out of the door and into the New Town’s stone terraces, then back to the calm of the hotel — the rhythm of a real stay, compressed into under a minute. Edinburgh’s grey-gold light does the grading’s work; the film stays restrained and lets the address speak.
One couple, one city
