Chiang Rai

The brief
A hotel film that reaches past the resort gates — into the temple country and craft of northern Thailand.
Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort sits on the riverside in Thailand’s far north, a region known for its temples, art and slow pace. The brief was a 60–90 second brand film for the resort’s website and in-room screens — one that showed the property and the destination together and inspired viewers to travel, finished in keeping with the Le Méridien brand. A set of short vertical cuts for social came from the same two days.
The approach
We built the film around one guest — a “Hero” — and followed them through a single perfect day: waking in the suite, tea on the terrace with the view, the riverside garden, breakfast, then out into Chiang Rai’s temples and craft before returning for the pool, the spa and a cocktail after dark. Everything was directed to feel unstaged, with genuine moments between guest and hotel team so the service showed itself rather than being announced. We shot handheld in the city for a documentary feel and on a gimbal inside the resort for calm, gliding movement. The resort’s Director of Sales & Marketing and General Manager praised the final films and referred Hotels Filmed to other properties.
One perfect day
A guest at the centre, followed from a sunrise terrace to a cocktail after dark.
Resort and destination
One day in the resort, one across Chiang Rai’s temples, art and craft.
Real, not staged
Genuine guest-and-team moments, directed to feel caught rather than arranged.
